Quality Parts Guarantee

When your car is repaired after a covered loss, you want it restored to the same high standards it had when it left the factory. With Amica’s Quality Parts Guarantee coverage, your repair estimate is based on new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts — so long as they’re still being made and available. That means your vehicle is repaired with parts designed by your car’s manufacturer, helping preserve its original fit, finish and performance.

Included with: Advantage and Signature auto policies

Availability, limits and deductibles may vary by state and policy.

How does this coverage help?

After an accident, the quality of replacement parts can make a difference in how your vehicle looks, fits and performs. Quality Parts Guarantee coverage helps by basing your repair estimate on new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts when they’re still being made and are readily available.

Some benefits include:

  • OEM parts are generally more expensive than like kind and quality (LKQ), aftermarket or used parts since they are made or supplied by the original manufacturer.
  • Replacing damaged parts with OEM parts likely extends the life of the vehicle and helps restore it to its peak performance.
  • OEM parts may also help retain the vehicle’s resale value and deflect the stigma associated with the accident history.
  • OEM parts typically come with a warrantee from the manufacturer, whereas LKQ parts may have limited or no warranty.

What if OEM parts aren’t available?

If OEM parts are no longer manufactured or aren’t readily available, repairs may be made using other parts of like kind and quality, which may include:

  • Rebuilt parts
  • Quality recycled (used) parts
  • Restored parts
  • Aftermarket or non OEM parts
