Bill Fitzgerald Recognized as a 2026 Leader and Achiever by Providence Business News
LINCOLN, R.I. — 08/20/2026 — Amica Insurance is proud to announce that Bill Fitzgerald, vice president of Sales and Client Services, has been named a Providence Business News Leaders and Achievers honoree for 2026.
Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida. He holds several insurance industry designations, including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Leadership Fellow.
Over his 33-year career with Amica, Bill has served in a variety of leadership roles across the organization. He spent his first 13 years with Amica Life, beginning as a sales representative before moving into sales leadership. In 2006, he joined Sales and Client Services, where he has served as a jurisdictional officer, national sales director and, for the past 10 years, vice president.
In his current role, Bill leads the teams responsible for advancing Amica’s sales and service priorities. He is responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive new business growth, strengthen policyholder retention, and support the company’s commitment to service excellence and sustainable, responsible growth.

Bill is also active in the community. He currently serves on the Leadership Rhode Island Board of Governors, as a trustee of the Miriam Hospital Foundation and on the board of the Narragansett Council of Scouting America. He previously served on the board of directors of the Rhode Island Free Clinic from 2009 to 2023, including as board president from 2020 to 2022, and is a past president of the Rhode Island Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
A longtime Rhode Island resident, Bill and his wife, Colleen, have two daughters: Abby, who lives in Houston, Texas, and Grace, who lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Outside of work, Bill enjoys traveling, golf, running and reading.
