Amica, Boston Celtics Treat Special Olympics Rhode Island Athlete to VIP Experience at TD Garden
Bullock family treated to courtside seats and behind-the-scenes access at Celtics-Bucks game through a partnership with Amica, the Boston Celtics and Special Olympics
LINCOLN, R.I. – As part of its ongoing Beyond the Patch initiative with the Boston Celtics, Amica Mutual Insurance Company helped create an unforgettable game-day experience for a longtime Special Olympics Rhode Island athlete and his family at TD Garden on Sunday, Feb. 1.
Through the Beyond the Patch initiative, Amica and the Celtics collaborate with local organizations to provide a unique experience to honor and celebrate individuals throughout New England.
Michael Bullock, of East Providence, Rhode Island, has been an active Special Olympics Rhode Island athlete since 1996, competing in basketball and track and field with the Rhody Rangers. A dedicated athlete for nearly three decades, Bullock says basketball holds a special place for him because “it takes teamwork to play well.”
Michael and his parents were treated to a VIP Celtics experience, enjoying courtside seats for Sunday night’s game, exclusive behind-the-scenes access to pregame warmups, and a special on-court photo session with the Celtics’ team photographer. Amica also surprised Michael with a custom Boston Celtics jersey ahead of tipoff.
