A Message from Our CEO

To our valued policyholders:

I hope this finds you and your family in good health. Throughout the world, society is taking unprecedented measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. There are many implications that stem from the changes made to daily routines, and we know they can bring about uncertainty. I’d like to follow my initial message to policyholders to reinforce the approach we’re taking at Amica to respond to this pandemic, care for our employees and ensure that we’ll be there for you if you need us.

We continue to closely follow guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). From social distancing and frequent handwashing to thorough cleaning of our facilities, we’re dedicated to keeping our team healthy. We’re pushing to get as many of our employees as possible into remote work arrangements, where they can continue to serve you from the comfort and safety of their own homes. And we’ve been making key changes to our internal policies, benefits and employee support programs to make this situation easier on our staff and their families. We know how important it is to take care of the people that, in turn, take care of you.

We’re committed to providing you with the best service possible during this time. We have tools in place that allow us to complete many types of transactions without the need for in-person contact. From digital policy servicing and billing to our photo/video claim handling tools, we’ll work with you in a way that supports your well-being, and that of our team. We ask, especially in this situation, that you join us in giving preference to these technologies over face-to-face interaction.

We understand the impacts of measures taken across the world right now are far-reaching and disruptive. If you find yourself experiencing financial difficulty because of COVID-19, we encourage you to reach out to us so that we can work with you and explore ways to assist you.

Amica is also dedicated to supporting the communities where we live and work. We’ve made an initial donation to support the efforts of The United Way, and will continue to give to organizations that are addressing the changing needs of this situation. As always, we provide a matching donation to nonprofit organizations our employees and their spouses support. This giving is quite impactful as it reinforces the good work they see happening in their local communities.

Wherever you are, and however this pandemic is currently impacting you, we urge you to heed the advice of medical experts and government authorities, and to do all you can to remain safe and healthy. Please don’t hesitate to call on us if we can be of service to you.
