I hope this finds you well as we all continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. You may recall that Amica announced the COVID-19 Auto Premium Relief Program on April 9, 2020, in response to the reduction in auto usage that occurred while many people were isolating at home. Under that program, we provided customers with a 20 percent refund on two months of auto premium.
In the following months, we’ve seen an increase in the number of auto losses as restrictions eased and drivers returned to the roads. That said, losses for the year so far remain lower than we had planned. With that in mind, we’re pleased to inform you that we’ll be providing a second round of support to customers through the Amica COVID-19 Auto Refund Program.*
This program will refund up to 10 percent of your monthly auto premium over a period of four months. Current customers will begin seeing the first refund to their accounts in July. The refunds will then be given at the start of each of the three subsequent months, as long as your coverage remains in effect. New auto policies written before the end of 2020 will also receive a refund for four months.
There is no action you need to take to receive the benefit of this program. If you have questions, please refer to the FAQs posted on the COVID-19 page on Amica.com. If you can’t find an answer there, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
