Amica Insurance partners with The Confetti Foundation for charitable giving activity
LINCOLN, R.I. - During its management conference in Newport on Sept. 27, Amica Insurance partnered with The Confetti Foundation, a Middletown, Rhode Island-based nonprofit organization, to build birthday boxes for children celebrating their birthdays in the hospital.
More than 170 Amica executives took part in the activity, which included creating banners and cards and filling the boxes with themed gifts for each child. The Amica Companies Foundation also made a $10,000 donation to the foundation, which supports more than 150 hospitals nationwide.
“It’s wonderful to work with a company like Amica, especially since they have employees and offices all across the country,” said Stephanie Frazier Grimm, founder of The Confetti Foundation. “They can now take this experience back to their home offices and spread the word about our mission to provide sick children with birthday celebrations.”
“It’s so important for us to find meaningful ways to give back to the community, and supporting The Confetti Foundation does just that,” said Meredith Gregory, charitable giving coordinator at Amica. “Our employees had a wonderful time taking part in this activity, knowing that these birthday boxes will help many children celebrate their special day.”
