What is a Catastrophe?

Generally speaking, a catastrophe is any sudden and widespread event disaster that causes damage to the general population. Unlike many other insurers, Amica Insurance will not wait until a certain dollar amount of damage in a given area is reached before declaring a "claims disaster". Amica Insurance may consider any disastrous event a catastrophe no matter how many people it affects or how much damage is done. Some catastrophic weather events include:

  • Hurricanes
  • Thunder, Lightning, Hail, or High Winds
  • Blizzards and Winter Storms
  • Earthquakes
  • Tornadoes
  • Wildfires
  • Floods

After the storm, Amica Insurance will help pick up the pieces.

No matter what the situation, Amica Insurance will be there when you need us most. We are committed to getting your life back on track as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
