We're Fighting Fraud for You

Since 1988, we've been aggressively engaged in a battle to combat insurance fraud. Insurance fraud is a crime that is costing the property/casualty insurance industry $30 billion every year. It is our Special Investigative Unit's (SIU) primary mission to work together with Amica branch office personnel and law enforcement officials in examining "suspicious" Amica Insurance claims for fraud. The group also sponsors training sessions and educational presentations for Amica personnel, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations.

While fraudulent cases are normally referred to the SIU by representatives strategically placed in Amica branch offices countrywide, Amica customers have sometimes alerted the unit to fraudulent activity. As a result, the SIU has created two convenient methods for reporting suspected fraudulent activity and both methods allow for anonymous reporting.
