If the damage to your vehicle is minor, we will ask you to obtain one appraisal and forward that to us for review. If the damage is more severe, we will assign an appraiser to inspect your vehicle. That appraiser will seek to reach an agreed repair price, and send a copy of the appraisal to you and the body shop of your choice.
You also have the option of choosing an auto body shop from our Auto Repair Assistance Program who will appraise your vehicle, coordinate the repairs and provide a rental vehicle.
topThe shop calls the appraiser, who will re-inspect your vehicle. If additional related damage is found, a supplemental appraisal will be written, and we will issue an additional payment to you or directly to your body shop if you so choose.
However, if you have chosen one of our Repair Assistance Program shops to perform the repairs, the shop will complete all repairs and payment will be issued directly to the shop.
topIf you are not satisfied with repairs completed by an Amica Repair Assistance Program (RAP) facility, we ask that you contact us immediately and we will ensure that the repairs are completed to your satisfaction. Amica does not guarantee the work of an auto body shop that is not part of our RAP program; therefore you will need to contact your auto body shop directly.
topThe method used to determine a total loss varies by state. Generally the method involves assessing the vehicles damages in relation to the actual cash value (ACV) of the vehicle.
topIf your vehicle is determined to be a total loss, your file handler will determine the vehicle's fair market value using methods approved by your state and payment will be made, less any applicable deductible.
topIf you carry comprehensive or other than collision coverage on your auto, please contact Amica for immediate assistance at 800-242-6422. If your windshield can be repaired, any applicable deductible will be waived. If replacement is necessary, the deductible you selected will apply. Glass coverage may vary state by state. Amica has a national program for auto glass repair and replacement.
Your choice of repair facilities is not limited in any way. Our national glass program provides qualified glass shops that will meet or exceed your manufacturer's standard for repair or replacement and we will warranty the replacement of the windshield for as long as you own the vehicle.
