Amica Mutual to Offer Discounted Rates and More Coverage Options in Massachusetts

LINCOLN, RHODE ISLAND – Amica Mutual Insurance Company announced today that it has begun quoting discounted auto rates for new business effective April 1, 2008  and later. With Amica’s new competitive rating plan, Massachusetts drivers will average a premium decrease of 7.9%, with a significant number of drivers realizing a rate decrease in excess of 10%.

"Amica’s discounted rates are already approved by the Massachusetts Division of Insurance, and we are ready to begin quoting for new business," said Lew Hassell, Assistant Vice President at Amica. "Our new rates present a real opportunity for Massachusetts drivers to save money, while getting coverage tailored to their individual needs." 

One unique benefit offered by Amica is a special discount of 3% to drivers who have been with their current carrier for three or more years.

In addition to the standard Massachusetts discounts, Amica’s new discounts for consumers include a:

• A 10% multi-car discount;
• A multi-line discount of 2-10% (varies by number of lines);
• A 10% good student discount

Amica has also introduced new coverages, such as Roadside Assistance, New Car Replacement coverage, and Auto Loan/Lease coverage. Additional money saving deductible options for Comprehensive, Collision and Limited Collision are now available.

In addition, rates for Substitute Transportation coverage have been lowered and new limits have been introduced for added flexibility.
