Coffey, Wright take top honors in Amica Insurance Half Marathon

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ethan Coffey of Knoxville, Tenn., won the Amica Insurance Half Marathon on Saturday, as part of the Thunder Road Marathon series of events.

Coffey posted a time of 1:11:25 on his way to win the men's title. Anna Wright of Hickory, N.C., won the women's division in the Amica Insurance Half Marathon in 1:28:19.

Coffey and Wright were among more than 9,000 runners who participated in this year's Thunder Road Marathon, Amica Insurance Half Marathon and Jingle Jog 5K, setting a registration record for the three races.

"People really love this event," said Race Director Tim Rhodes. "We're giving them the things they want and responding to their suggestions to make it better every year."
