LINCOLN, Rhode Island – Amica Insurance has been ranked tops in customer satisfaction by a leading consumer magazine – again.
Amica’s first-place ranking is based on nearly 11,000 responses to the magazine’s 2008 homeowner insurance survey. Amica earned a customer satisfaction rating of 90 percent. This means that the vast majority of respondents were “completely satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the service they received from Amica.
"At Amica our customers’ needs take top priority," said Robert A. DiMuccio, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Amica Mutual Insurance Company. "Our employees work hard every day to make sure Amica customers receive the best service possible, and it is gratifying to see that our customers recognize and appreciate our efforts."
Amica has ranked first in customer satisfaction all six times the magazine has conducted a survey of homeowners insurance – in 1985, 1989, 1993, 1999, 2004 and now in 2009. It also has been among the top-ranked auto insurers in the magazine’s auto insurance surveys since 1984.
Amica Mutual Insurance Company, the nation’s oldest mutual insurer of automobiles, was founded in 1907. The company, with corporate headquarters in Lincoln, Rhode Island, is national writer of automobile, homeowners, marine, and personal umbrella liability insurance. Life coverage is available through Amica Life Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary. Amica employs more than 3,200 people in 39 offices across the country.
