James Loring named CFO of Amica Mutual Insurance Company
LINCOLN, RI – Amica Mutual Insurance Company is pleased to announce the appointment of James Loring, CPA, CFA, as the company’s chief financial officer, effective immediately.
"Jim will be a tremendous addition to our management team,” said Robert A. DiMuccio, president, chairman and CEO of Amica Mutual Insurance Co. “He’s coming into a company with a long history of financial strength and stability. We’re confident he will help us build upon our successes, while maintaining our commitment to outstanding customer service every day.”
Loring was formerly senior vice president and chief financial officer at Savings Bank Life Insurance of Massachusetts (SBLI) in Woburn, MA. He has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. In addition to working at SBLI since 2001, Loring has worked for Sun Life Financial, The Hanover Group and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Loring, who lives in Hopkinton, MA, has a master’s degree in business administration from Clark University in Worcester, MA, and a bachelor’s degree from Bryant University. He is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in actuarial science at Boston University.
He was recently selected by the Center for Collaborative Leadership at the University of Massachusetts – Boston to participate as a fellow in its 2010 Emerging Leaders Program, an executive training program for professionals in the Greater Boston area.
