Amica Insurance earns top honor at Worksite Health Awards
LINCOLN, R.I. - Amica Insurance recently earned the top honor at the 20th annual Worksite Health Awards, sponsored by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce (GPCC).
Amica was named an exemplary winner at the event. The competition ranks Rhode Island businesses in four tiers (exemplary, superior, outstanding and achievement) based on the scale and impact of their health and wellness programs and health-oriented workplace policies.
“It’s nice to be recognized, but the drive behind these programs is the wellness of our employees,” said Jean Tapley, senior wellness coordinator at Amica Insurance. “We want to do everything we can to help them lead happy and healthy lives.”
“For the last 20 years, our Worksite Health Award winners have shown that health and fitness are essential components of a stronger workforce,” said Peter Andruszkiewicz, president and CEO of BCBSRI. “BCBSRI commends these organizations for finding smart, creative ways to implement wellness programs. They serve as bright examples of health and productivity for our entire community.”
