Amica Insurance ranked highest again – for the 12th straight year!
LINCOLN, RI – “I'd give up food before I'd give up my Amica insurance!”
That’s what one customer wrote on Amica Mutual Insurance Co.’s Facebook page after the announcement that Amica was ranked highest in customer satisfaction among national auto insurers for a 12th straight year, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 National Auto Insurance Study.*
The sentiment might be a slight exaggeration, noted Craig Phelps, senior assistant vice president of corporate communications for Amica Insurance. However, it demonstrates the uncommon bond Amica shares with its customers – a bond that’s forged by providing exemplary customer service year after year.
It also might be why Amica continues to be ranked highest in the J.D. Power and Associates customer satisfaction study year after year, Phelps said. “Our customers truly appreciate the extra effort we put forth for them, each and every day,” he said.
The ranking is based on a survey of nearly 28,000 auto insurance customers who were asked to rate their primary insurance companies on five factors: interaction, price, policy offerings, billing and payment and claims. Amica earned top scores in all five areas, scoring a total of 843 points out of 1,000 possible points. The industry average score was 790.
“We are thrilled to receive this honor for the 12th straight year,” said Robert A. DiMuccio, chairman, president and CEO of Amica Insurance. “It’s a testament to our employees, and to our customers, who appreciate the exceptional customer service we provide.”
Amica is constantly looking for new and better ways to serve its customers, DiMuccio noted. In the past year alone, the company has launched a new mobile app for the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smart phones, a new EFT (electronic funds transfer) payment system, enhanced auto quoting and improvements to its online claims center and automatic payment plans. There’s even a new careers page, storm center and news center on Amica.com.
“We’re determined to provide our customers the best possible customer service – whether on the phone, online or on-the-go,” DiMuccio said. “It’s all part of our commitment to being the absolute best that we can be.”
